INGREDIENTS
DOSING
Advice: 0.5 to 1 gram per day
But feel free to see what works best for you. You can’t overdose, although you’d need some seriously strong jaws to do so. 🤔
OUR SOURCE AND COLLABORATIONS
Our mastic gum comes from the island of Chios in Greece. Here, sap from the resin of the mastic tree is harvested, washed and dried by hand.
Mastic gum has been used for centuries, both as a natural chewing gum and for various culinary and medicinal applications. The process of harvesting mastic gum is done traditionally and requires skill and experience to avoid damaging the tree.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How does it work?
Every time you chew our gum, your face gets a complete workout. Our premium masticatory gum offers the perfect amount of resistance that is both challenging and satisfying for your four jaw muscles.
How does it taste?
Our chewing gum first has a slightly bitter taste, followed by a refreshing pine and cedar flavour. Combined with the aromatic nature of this chewing gum, you are guaranteed an enjoyable chewing experience.
How is it different from regular chewing gum?
- It does not come in chewing gums, but in pellets that are all a different size. You often need a few pellets for enough chewing material.
- It is 100% natural and completely free of additives.
- The taste is not strong, but very subtle.
- It is naturally anti-microbial, and therefore good for oral health.
Will I really get a stronger jawline?
Yes! Like any other muscle, your jaw muscles can become stronger and more noticeable with intensive use and repetition. Regular use of our gum will give your face a tighter appearance.
What is it made of?
Our gum is an all-natural product made from resinous sap that seeps and crystallises from the bark of the mastic tree (Pistacia lentiscus).
Chios is the only place in the world where this gum can be produced, thanks to the island's unique microclimate and soil formation due to underwater volcanic activity.
REMEMBER
In the case of fillings, crowns or weak teeth, mastic gum is not recommended. No liability for Modern Native applies here.

How do I use it?
Just bite down and start chewing. Being an organic product, the size, shape and hardness of each piece varies.
Grains often fall apart at first, but after chewing for a while it forms a whole. You often need a few grains for enough chewing material.
If the first piece is too soft and sticks to your teeth, take a sip of water to solidify and loosen it. Then add a harder piece to reach the right consistency.
How long will it last?
Our gum never loses its flavour and is much more durable than regular gum, so you can chew it for hours and even chew it again. Chewed daily, one jar can last up to 4-6 weeks.
If you store our gum properly (in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight), it can keep perfectly for years.
Can you swallow it?
Some people swallow it without any problems, but we do not recommend it.
